August Photos

Loving the ipad

Sarajoy loves to be out working with dad.  She plays with bugs and worms.

Tea party!

A play wedding.  They did this on their own and Ruby took the pictures.

He's getting to big for Sarajoy to hold!

We got to visit the Avenius family on our way to Island Park

Our wonderful campsite at Island Park.  It was a beautiful, healing week for our family.

Sullivan after his first haircut.  Already???

Our rescued kitten, Max.  Nathan found him on a scout activity.

For the Angels

In heaven and on earth who are thinking of, praying for, and helping me:  THANK YOU

I wish this was an "All is well"  post.  We are not through this storm yet, but I feel strengthened by your thoughts and prayers.

We are on the verge of some healing.  It is hard, but it is good!  It is the curriculum designed for my spiritual growth.

My emotions are at the surface most of the time.  I find myself being jerked "awake" out of deep and serious thought quite frequently.

And life goes on and keeps me busy.

And there are still little ones humming while they do artwork.
And laughter coming from the room where the kids are trying to "work together" to put a large foam mattress away.
There's still popcorn and chocolate cookies.
And books on tape.
And an oldest daughter who sorted and folded 2 weeks of laundry without being asked.
And giggles as the girls stay up way too late reading library books.
And Dallin's soft minky blanket that he lets me sleep with sometimes because it makes him feel like he's my boyfriend.
And air conditioning.  How I love it!
And the squishiest 17.5 pound baby boy.
And the treasures my friend's kids found while dumpster-diving at the Goshen school today.  The things teachers throw away!
And I signed my  boys up for soccer at the last possible time, but I didn't miss it!
And Sonic crushed ice.
And I watched Ruby in her element--bareback on a lovely palomino at Cowgirl Boot Camp.
And quotes from prophets that make their way into my life in a very timely fashion.
And I realized that I really DO have willpower.  I'm just using it all up on more important things than chocolate cookies.

Happy Day.  All IS well.
