Priesthood Power

I have been so blessed to be married to a righteous priesthood holder. Now I am blessed to be a mom to one as well. Nathan was ordained a deacon on June 12, 2010 by his father. He was lucky enough to have his cousins Kaleb Stinger and Parker and Tanner Nay here for it. Also, Grandma Millington and Grandma and Grandpa Porter came. We had a very wonderful day.

Ballet Dancers

May 2010

The girls have rediscovered the box of dancing clothes. They've had so much fun dressing up and making up new dances. One day they got Sarajoy all dressed up so she could join in.

Normally Simon likes to join in as well, and I don't mind if he dresses up a little too.  After all, he's only two and doesn't give a hoot about girly vs. manly stuff.  He'll dress up in anything!

But it was a little disturbing to find these pictures on my camera:

Really, Brandon is awesome, and I am glad he has such a fun sense of humor!

More Pictures of The Honey

May 2010

We've always called her Honey more than Sarajoy. Its cause she's so sweet!

Such a big girl to be standing up!

Ruby took this picture, so I don't know what it is all about, but my suspicions are that there was food involved!  This picture just reminds me so much of our dog Ginger when she was begging for food under the highchair.

We've had a really cold Spring this year.  I was so excited for one of our very first warm days so she could wear this cute ladybug outfit that I got at a yard sale last summer!

She loves baby dolls and stuffed animals.  For awhile, she always wanted to hold a baby or stuffed animal when we laid her down to sleep.  This turtle puppet ended up being a favorite for awhile.

These last two pictures are of her with her bangs freshly cut!

Hair Do Dah

We all got a kick out of the Honey's hair when I was getting her ready for church.

Zoo Mania

May 2010

These little squishy pencil toppers have been a fad around our house lately.  You can get them in the vending machine at Bamboo Gardens where my dad loves to eat.  You can get them at a restaurant here in Spanish Fork as well.  You can also get them from a special token machine at the school.  Guess whose dad works at the school?  But don't worry, he made them earn every token!  And Aunt Kim bought a huge lot of them at Easter and shared them with us.

I love it when all of my kids work together on something.  They were pretty proud of this Zoomania world:

Becoming One With the Bumbo

Pictures taken April 25, 2010

Where does bumbo end and baby begin?

I remember my other babies going through a stage where they wanted to sit up so much, but couldn't.  I often wished for a chair just like this.  When the bumbo came out, I was so excited.  I was even more excited to have one handed down to me because they're pretty expensive.

Sarajoy completely skipped the "I wish I could sit up" stage.  She just started sitting up at 4 months old.  She actually likes the bumbo now than she ever has.  She likes being close to me while I work in the kitchen, and she likes it better than her high chair.  She always starts tapping her feet as soon as she gets in.  I sing, "Take your little toes and you tap your toes.  Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap your toes.  Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, your toes. Tap your little toesies!"  This is a song I learned way back in my very first playgroup when Nathan was young.  Well, Sarajoy loves it just as much as Nathan did!
